Sex is sacred, designed by God to be part of a covenant marriage between a man and a woman, where "two become one".

Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we urge you in the name of the Lord Jesus to live in a way that pleases God, as we have taught you. You live this way already, and we encourage you to do so even more. For you remember what we taught you by the authority of the Lord Jesus. God's will is for you to be holy, so stay away from all sexual sin. Then each of you will control his own body and live in holiness and honor - not in lustful passion like the pagans who do not know God and his ways. 1 Thessalonians 4:1-5

Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral. Hebrews 13:4

Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither the immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor sexual perverts, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God. 2 Corinthians 6:9-11

Because they refused to acknowledge God, He gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator--who is forever praised. Amen. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. Romans 1:24-27

But because of the temptation to immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband (God’s design). 1 Corinthians 7:2

Think with me ... God designed sex to be between a husband and a wife in a committed married relationship for a lifetime. It’s powerful because of the bonding aspect that comes with it … the two become one. Sexual immorality, unchastity, sexual perverts, adultery, fornication, homosexuality… all of these these and any other type of sexual perversion lead to destruction in a person’s personal life and in a family and in society in general. And when it goes too far, God destroys it… Example of Sodom and Gomorrah (Genesis 19) and the nation of Israel indulging in sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 10:8 Numbers 25:1-9 Exodus 32:6)

In the same way in our relationship with Christ, two become one. We become one with Him, united with Him through the Holy Spirit through our faith in Christ, He in us and we in Him. Marriage is to be a picture of our relationship with Christ where the two become one, and the husband loves his wife and is committed to his wife in the same way that Christ is to the His Bride, His "church", His "ecclesia".

God puts a high value on sexual purity… don’t play around with sex. Don’t look at a woman lustfully (Matthew 5:28), let the marriage bed be held in honor (Hebrews 13:4), take a wife in holiness and honor not in the passion of lust (1 Thessalonians 4:5), if you give into the passion of the flesh, sow to the flesh, you will reap corruption (Galatians 6:8), indulging wrong sexual desires come from our sinful nature and stop us from entering into the kingdom of God (Galatians 5:19-21), if you commit adultery you have no sense and it will destroy you (Proverbs 6:32), two caught in adultery or any other sexual perversion were to be killed (corrupts an entire society Leviticus 20:10-21), shun youthful passions (2 Timothy 2:22), shun immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18)
